Pura 2-Stage Whole Home System
An ultraviolet water purification system is a safe, clean, easy-to-maintain way to assure your water is free of bacteria. This proven technology has no significant drawbacks. Depending on your application the initial cost may be more than a chlorination system but because of the low operating costs, UV systems quickly pay for themselves. They are environmentally friendly and as trouble-free as you can get.
Most ultraviolet water treatment systems require an annual change of lamp, which is as easy as changing a light bulb. Depending on your system you may also have to change filter cartridges.
The Pura 2-Stage whole-home ultraviolet water purification unit provides up to 10 gallons per minute of water flow.
It comes with a 5-micron sediment filter but a carbon block filter can be substituted depending on your requirements.
It runs on household voltage (120V, 60 Hz) so no special wiring is required.
A special "Lamp-Out" shut down feature is available as an option. This circuit and solenoid valve combination provides an automatic shutdown of the system if the lamp is not functioning due to power outage or other malfunction, protecting you and your water system from the passage of untreated water.
