I Have a Water Softener and my Water Feels "Slimy"

When the hardness minerals are removed, soap no longer has to overcome the hardness of the water to make suds so you need to use far less soap on your body.  The slimy feeling is due to excessive soap being used.  By using far less soap with soft water you save money and reduce the risk of skin irritation caused by the hard water and from the excessive amounts of soap being used.

That slick feeling you feel is your natural body oils -- without the soap scum that was caused by the hard water. By the way, that soap scum provided an excellent place for bacteria to hide and grow, causing numerous minor skin ailments.
