How to stay adequately hydrated all year long?
Let's get real, we all know that drinking a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water a day is important for maintaining a healthy body and feeling amazing, but sometimes we fail to drink enough water. Here are some tips that help me get in enough water throughout the day:
1. Create the habit of drinking water at certain times of the day. For example, I drink 2 cups of water first thing in the morning before my morning coffee, 3 -4 cups during the work day, 1 cup before dinner and 1 cup after dinner.
3. Make up a pitcher of your favourite chilled tea made with purified water. A little extra flavour is always refreshing and contains no sugar when you make it yourself.
4. Start a water challenge at work or with a friend to drink 64 ounces of pure water every day. Then check in with eachother throughout the day. Having an accountability partner sure helps me to stay on track and encourages me to stick with it.
The irony is that once you create a new habit of drinking 64 ounces of water a day, your body will start to crave it and you'll rarely choose to drink anything else. You'll feel amazing, have lots of energy and you may even begin to lose weight.
