What's Really in your Tap Water?

What's Really in your Tap Water?
Reduce your Toxic Load

The water that comes out of your tap looks clean and clear. Typically, the tap water won't harm you today. It's free from bacteria like E.coli and coliforms that can make you really sick.

Yet there are over 40,000 chemicals on the market, and only a few hundred are regulated in our drinking water.

Even worse, are the “forever chemicals” which take thousands of years to degrade. Roughly 4,700 synthetic chemicals, which have been in production and used in commercial products since WWII, including Teflon, Scotchgard, and firefighting foam. They have been linked to many diseases including cancers, liver damage, kidney disease, low birth weight, autoimmune disorders, and a host of other health problems.

Pollutants and toxins are everywhere, from the biological to the chemical, from the hazardous wastes and by-products of industry and agriculture to chlorine and disinfectants.

These chemicals make their way into the drinking water supply and can have a major impact on your health.

The reason you may not notice right away, is because your body is naturally doing its best to detox on a daily basis. The problems arise when the cup gets so full that your body cannot eliminate toxins fast enough.

When this occurs, you may begin to experience

  1. Skin problems (rashes, acne, etc.)
  2. Food and scent intolerances and allergies
  3. Constipation, diarrhea and other digestive issues
  4. Frequent colds and viruses
  5. Unexplained headaches
  6. Lower back pain
  7. General aches and pains
  8. Fatigue and low energy
  9. Inability to feel rested after sleep
  10. Compromised resistance to infections
  11. Inability to lose weight
  12. Fuzzy thinking

The good news is, there are many ways to reduce your toxic load.

  • Drink Pure Water
  • Use Chemical Free Cleaners
  • Clean the Air in your Home
  • Eat fresh

Drink Pure Water

Water purified by reverse osmosis (R/O) removes 98% of all chemicals and heavy metals and even pharmaceuticals. You can feel confident you’re not ingesting added toxins into your body when you choose to drink pure water.

Use Chemical Free Cleaning Products

There are many ways to clean without using chemicals that are just as good and sometimes even better. We work with a local company and have been selling their chemical free soaps and cleaning products since 2018. We have a variety in store, or you can check out their website.

Clean The Air In Your Home

There are variety of air filters you can get for the whole house or for individual rooms. Their cost varies depending on the features they have how well they clean the air. One that I love is the G3 from Air Oasis. It uses ionic air to break down viruses, bacteria, mold, VOCs and odors. It sanitizes air and surfaces, is maintenance-free air and is easy to use.

Eat Fresh Foods Free From Preservatives

Try to incorporate as many organic fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet and try to cook from scratch. Avoid prepackaged meals as much as possible and if you eat meat, try to buy hormone free or organic meats.

By making these few small changes you can dramatically decrease your toxic load and improve your overall health.
