Reverse Osmosis & Alkaline Water- What's the Difference?

Updated: Mar 13

Reverse osmosis is a water purification process that removes 95-98% of all contaminants in water including:

  • chlorine

  • chemicals

  • metals (lead chromium arsenic,mercury,cadmium)

  • pharmaceuticals

  • pesticides & herbicides

  • sulphates

  • bromide

  • nitrates

  • sodium

This means R/O water is one of cleanest types of water to drink. We make our R/O water onsite daily- no shipping or storing- this means it's always fresh and safe. We have a strict filter change schedule along with daily water testing, making our water the cleanest and best tasting water you can get.

Re-Mineralized R/O Water (aka Alkaline water) includes all of the above with the addition of:

2 Essential Minerals: Calcium and Magnesium

By adding calcium and magnesium to the water, it automatically makes the water ALKALINE!

Alkaline is a when the water is less acidic... remember chemistry 101:

pH of 7 is neutral pH < 7 is more acidic pH > 7 is more alkaline

There are numerous health benefits to drinking alkaline water:

  • improved digestion

  • improved hydration

  • relieves heartburn

  • assists with healing & reducing frequency of canker sores (personal attestation here!)

  • assists in maintaining a less acidic state in the body

Both types of water are available to purchase in store at the refill bar or at our drive thru. If you have any questions or want to learn more, we'd love to hear from you.
