30 Things in 30 Years ... What I've Learned Part 1

When I first got started in the water industry, at the young age of 23, I wasn’t an expert.

I was a recent business school graduate, passionate about holistic wellness and building a career that aligned with my values. I didn’t think water would be the means to get me there, but as I started to learn more about what was actually in our tap water and how it impacted long term health, my focus quickly narrowed in! 

We don’t live in silo’s- our optimal health is connected to the quality of our food, our water, to the environment we live in, the air we breathe and the connections we keep.

This is a holistic lifestyle approach to wellness. If you want to improve or optimize your health- physically, emotionally, and/or mentally, you have to look at the whole picture.  

Educating clients on the value of CLEAN WATER became my little niche in the bigger picture of holistic health.

I thought it would be fun to share the 30 things I've learned about water in 30 years in a quick little read.

Here’s PART 1

1. The quality of your water affects the quality of your life.

2. Water chemistry changes throughout the year

3. Clean water doesn’t always mean Clean water

4. Clear water can still contain contaminants you can’t see

5. Reverse Osmosis purification removes 98% of all contaminants at a molecular level

6. Carbon filtration Reduces chlorine and organic contaminants, like pesticides and herbicides

7. Chlorine protects water from bacteria, but is a chemical with long term health consequences

8. Your skin absorbs the chlorine when you shower and bathe

9. A total dissolved solids (TDS) water test tells us part of the story but not the whole story

10. Good water helps protect appliances so that they last longer
